Gardiyan
In Loving Memory of "G"
2009 Purebred Akhal-Teke Stallion 15.2h Metallic Bay ATAA REGISTRATION: AAKT 499 VNIIK REGISTRATION: 101601509 NFS Negative Gardiyan, affectionately called “G” around the farm, is a metallic bay Akhal-teke stallion by Gindarkh 13 and out of Guana-Kosteka. His sire, Gindarkh 13, is noteable for being a star in Ringling Brothers Circus for many years before being retired to stud. Gardiyan’s Great-Grandsire is the famous dressage horse Absent, who won a total of 4 Olympic Medals including individual gold during the 1960’s.
Gardiyan is a very people-oriented and well-mannered stallion with a sweet personality that is also sensitive and highly intelligent. He is exceptionally athletic and has wonderful, powerful movements. His jump is round and very correct and careful while still being a very smooth ride. At 4 years old, he participated in a demonstration at the Kentucky Horse Park and performed bridle-less in front of many people. At five years of age, he started learning about horse shows while competing locally on the hunter circuit. Due to some heavy flooding issues on our farm, we were unable to keep Gardiyan in fit enough condition since then to continue competing. Unfortunately we had to make the decision to put G down in February of 2025 when he had a bad colic which was inoperable. Gardiyan's legacy will live on in his two purebred offspring, Arabella & Adar, and his two part-bred daughters Genesis & Guinevere. |
